All good things must come to an END.

I have been writing on this blog for over a year now, which is much longer than I would of ever imagined. It has morphed from my hiking blog to a blog on ecomonics to finally a blog on couponing and being frugal!

I have come to realize though that keeping up a couponing/frugal blog is VERY time consuming. This has affected my walk with Christ and my relationship with my wife. I have been spending too much time online instead of in the Bible and paying enough attention to my wife. She has reminded me several times that I spend to much time online! I am thankful for her accountablity!

So, with much regret I am making this my last blog post on couponing and being frugal. I will probably be posting some more posts in the future when I go back and finish my Appalachian Trail Hike, so stay tuned if that interests you. I plan to go to Trail Days in Damascus, VA in May and also hike 2 weeks on the AT in October...hoping to get to New Jersey from Harper's Ferry!

So for all you that are following me for couponing, here are my 10 favorite blogs in no particular order! These blogs will easily fill the void that my blog will leave.

1. I am Frugal
2. Money Saving Mom
3. The Freebie Blogger
4. Lizzy Language
5. The Thrifty Mama
6. Stretching a Buck
7. Deal Seeking Mom
8. Bargain Briana
9. The "Cent"sible Sawyer
10. MoneySavingMethods

Again, I am sorry for the abrupt ending of this blog, since most of my readers have just came in December and January. I hope that I helped you get the taste for couponing, and all 10 of these sites are packed full with couponing deals and tips!

God bless,

I do understand, we all need to keep what is important to us, important.

While I have come to enjoy your posts, I also respect your desire to be in faith and to live more in the here and now with those you love. Thanks for all the hard work you have been doing.

Be well.

So sorry to hear that. I am new to your blog and enjoy it almost daily. But I totally understand and happy that you are willing to commit to what's important. Ps.37:23

Good for you Shephard!! I have thought about doing that multiple times because I get too involved with the internet and not my kids. I've been trying to just blog in the mornings while my kids are just eating breakfast and watching cartoons but it can be addicting and we all need to keep it in balance. I seriously applaud you making this decision. Good luck with everything! I have enjoyed looking at your blog and will continue if you don't mind, I really am interested in these hikes you do.

I am Frugal

Frequent lurker, first time commenter. I just found you about two months ago and have enjoyed your blog. Because of you, I've gotten lots of free stuff :) I totally understand, though. Good luck in your hiking adventures!

Thanks for the links and focus on savings you provided, it did seem like a lot of work.

Glad to hear you will be doing trail days and getting to H.F. to continue north a bit.

Have a great week and God Bless

I have enjoyed reading your posts and gotten some good savings, but I truly understand!!!! I'm cutting back myself; the Lord is far more important than blogging (and so is your wife :)

may the Lord richly bless you both!
