2009 Coupon Database - My New Project

Hello all,

I am in the works at organizing an alphabetical complete listing of all coupon in the 3 different inserts via Google Spreadsheet!

I have only been able to put in all the coupons from the 5 - 1/4/09 inserts...3 - Smartsources & 2 - Redplums! (there was like 245 different coupons!). This way you can quickly scan down the alphabetical list and see if a coupon has been in the inserts lately and when it expires and where it is located! Hopefully this will make finding deals even quicker! Then they are also broken up into each insert...SS 1/4/09 and RP 1/4/09.

I will be working on getting the last 2 weeks put in asap. I might even get it set up that anyone can add coupons as they have time to make it more a group community project. This database is for anyone, so use it how ever you can. You can even link it on your own blog as well. Feel free to spread the word!

Double Rebate Deals at Walgreens!

At Walgreen's this month they are offering a deal with Orajel FREE with their monthly Rebates. Plus I guess this last sunday inserts had a mail in rebate offer from the manufacturer to get a full rebate as well. So, what does this mean. It means you can get a full rebate twice on this project, and get double your cost on your initial investment! I think it is $8.99 at Walgreens (if they are still in stock) and you will get back $17.98 back! Nice!

Hello all,

Just wanted to post this unadvertised find at CVS this morning. I found that certain scents of Febreze candles are 90% off. They are normally $7.99, but with your CVS card they are only $0.79. I had to do a double take when I saw this!

So if you buy 3 at $0.79 and use your $2 off 1 Febreze candle in the December P&G insert (12/14..i think). You can get all 3 candles for $0.54 (that's including tax!)

Needless to say, I stocked up on them! I know that the vanilla scent & the Apple Delight scent were discounted.

*** NOTE - There was no indication at all that they were 90% off. They all still had the $7.99 stickers on them. I had to use the in-store price scanner to realize that they were actually $0.79. So make sure you check it out before buying! ***

In regards to why I chose Meijer to give a gift card from, I wanted to pick stores in my area that have been friendly to couponers like myself. There are a couple of good things about Meijer that are beneficial for couponers, such as 1.)they double all coupons up to $0.50! 2.)Plus there are usually no limit on how much stuff you can buy. 3.) You can use Meijer coupons in conjuction with MFG coupons. 4.)Occasionally you can get overage as well...it just depends. So Meijer is a great place for couponers, unlike Walmart (which you wont see a gift card from unless they improve their friendliness to couponers!) In the last 3 months, our amount of shopping at Walmart has gone way down!

Here are the reason's Walmart is NOT coupon friendly (atleast here in Lafayette). 1.)They don't offer Walmart coupons to use in conjuction with MFG coupons. 2.)They dont double coupons at all. 3.)They dont give overage, and 4.)sometimes even wont accept coupons if they are for over the amount of the item. I had to cause a ruckus then I tried to use a $1 off coupon for something that was for $0.97. Finally, they took it but not after having to complain to the manager. So, if there are any Walmart people out there...let me know if you have had good experiences with Walmart and couponing, and I may reconsider.

Progresso Soup Coupons again!

Hello all,

This by far has been my most popular post of all. Thanks to Budget Help, I was able to find another "brick" coupon for Progresso soups to add to your collection and savings! With the "brick" coupons, you can only print them twice. Here are the links. I know Marsh will have Progresso Soups on-sale this wednesday for $0.99 (atleast here in Indiana).

So doing the math...that is $3.81 for 9 cans ($0.42 a can) if you do all coupon's once or $7.62 for 18 cans if you do each coupon twice. These are great to stock up your pantry or give to a food pantry if you dont have the room. Plus, don't forget to get a rain check at your store if they are out of them, that way you can use the coupons later on when the deal is over and the shelves are well stocked.

Wow,

I just found out that the Colgate Total $1.50 coupon page has been removed only 1 day after posting my post! I may have to think twice about posting such good coupons, since that coupon has been around for the better of 2 months until I made it known. I just hope you all stocked up in time. I was able to get a couple printed, which should get me a couple of months...depending on how well the deals on toothpaste go. My CVS Trip

Wow, I can't believe how much "money" you can make at CVS this month! I just increased my ECB totals to about $31 from $9 and only paying about $4 in OOP. That is a net profit of $18 ECB's.

Here was my transaction today.

(2) Throat Coolers - $4.99 each (get $4.99 ecb's back) - had B1G1 free q.
(2) Nasal Spray's - $7.99 each (get $7.99 ecb's back) - had 2 - $2 off q's

***You maybe wondering why I have an extra $4.99 ECB from the throat cooler...well due to the picked over nature of these products...I found one store that had 3 out of the 4 items in stock...and I needed both coolers to use the B1G1 Free q...so the manager found another CVS that had a cooler in stock...thankfully it was within two miles of the store I was at...

I drove over to the other CVS and got the cooler...then came back to the original store and returned the cooler there...and then used it in my order of 4 items...to get the total over $25 (to use the $5 off q!) IS anyone else confused yet! lol.

Well the cool thing was that I still got the ECB from the original purchase and then it gave me another ECB for buying it again. I thought the limit was 2 per card. So basically I got (3)$4.99 ecb's and only purchased (2)$4.99 products. Did I find a loophole or is the limit actually 5 like the bloggers have been saying?

Does anyone know if that original $4.99 ECB is still good even though I returned the orginal product? I assume it is, but am not sure.

I can't wait to use some of the ECB's on more toothpaste and shampoo next week! Remember the Food Pantry is still in need of toothpaste if you don't need any!
